I was sixteen, traveling in Europe. I didn't know then that I would one day become a writer. I only knew that I stopped where others kept walking. That I looked a little longer. Drawn to the stories that lingered in quiet moments, to lives crossing briefly, and the unseen moments that shape our existence.
About Christian
Christian Kranich, born in Munich/Germany in 1968, has lived many lives: Ice cream vendor, bartender, flight attendant, social worker, school principal and AIDS-activist. Today, he works in the pharmaceutical industry, he is coaching leaders & organizations, also blogging on these matter - and writing, of cause.
He lives in Frankfurt am Main/Germany.
For more than thirty years, he has been writing, drawn to the complexity of human encounters and the search for authenticity. His work is shaped by the fractures in human lives and the moments that reveal who we really are.
He is currently working on his first autofictional novel. It follows people to live with the unspeakable. Of hidden longings, of intimacy and shame, of stories we tell ourselves - and those we choose to keep silent.

Ongoing projects
Some stories begin before we know where they will lead. “Dr. Mabuse” is one such story. It marks the first step in my work as a writer — and at the same time, the first trace of the autofictional novel I am working on.
Figures emerge. A temporal horizon opens. First motifs and themes begin to take shape. Yet this is neither autobiography nor a retrospective look at the past. Autofiction is not concerned only with what happened. It asks what remains of it — what continues to move us today, and what may still shape us tomorrow.
